Hello all,

I am receiving my BSE in ME with a 3.7 GPA from the University of Michigan and a 165 on the LSAT.

I already have a job opportunity with GE and I am interested in working in law and more importantly patent law. But I am uncertain on how I could pursue this path without killing myself in debt. I was wondering if it was common for Engr. majors to pass the USPTO exam and become patent agents, apply to a law firm, and then that law firm pay for that person's law school. If this is a possibility, how would someone find out if law firms are involved in this process.

I am sorry if this topic has been discussed a thousand times before in the forum, but I could not find a related thread.

retake the lsat and get a good scholarship from a t14 law school. With a 174 or so, you have a decent shot at getting half tuition at UM, which would be worth the investment.
