Hey all - I've been looking into working for the firm Birch Stewart - do you guys have any insights into their program?  I'm aware that it's a boutique, and that it therefore likely focuses on prosecution (which is what I'm interested in).  I'm mostly interested in first year salary, their training program, and whether there's a reasonable partnership path.

Thanks so much!

I know nothing about Birch Stewart.  BUt i know a little about law firms.  When asking about their "program", it makes me think that a student thinks that a law firm has a situation geared towards the benefit of the new lawyer.  That would be wrong.  My guess is, their program goes something like this:  you must bill a minimum of hours per year, probably around 2000, which probably requires you actually being in the office at least 2400 hours the first year.  As to their reasonable partnership path, I am sure it is reasonable for the partners, if you are able to help the firm make lots of profits, they will have a reasonable partnership path, if you are simply a worker bee, then probably not.  Good luck!
