You'd be better off talking to any IP attorneys you run into in Thailand, as they could tell you for certain what the job market and outlook are like there.  Also, take a look at the Department of Intellectual Property's website to see what educational background they require to become an examiner, if you have an interest in that.

From what I've seen and heard over many years, Thailand's IP protections are deliberately kept weak, and the economy is relatively small, so there isn't much incentive for foreign companies to seek patent protection there.  Along the same lines, pirated DVDs and software are openly sold on the streets and at tech malls like Pantip Plaza.  It's never struck me as a place where IP rights are given any serious consideration, except temporarily when other countries are forcing a crackdown.

Thank you for your accommodation, I agree with you about the weak protection of IP in Thailand and the seize of the economy but I see it as an advantage for me  (to my understanding) to gain experience and qualifications so when the economy is bigger and IP protection are more serious, I would be advantaged.

By the way, thank you very much for your comments and suggestions I'm very appreciated that. But I still believed that if I strives enough, one day I maybe able to practicing as the pro. IP attorney.

Regards,

Well, IIRC, you're the only country in the world where the current head of state has obtained a patent. :)

Good luck on it.  A technical degree will always be of help to you if you do work involving patents, but I'm not sure if that's actually required in Thailand -- one of the LL.M's who just graduated from my law school was a Chinese IP attorney, and she only had a law degree, no technical education at all, so apparently China has no technical education requirements (and I believe this is true in most of Asia, at least).  Almost a third of the foreign LL.M. students at my law school seemed interested in IP (and perhaps focused on it) -- we had more foreigners than Americans in the Patent Law class when I took it.

Well that seems to be the consistent trend in all areas related to a technical education in higher institutes of learning in the US.

:) My king is one of my inspiration and always works hard for his people.

Technical degree is not required for a patent agent but I agree with you that technical degree is help when we involving patents (how could I precisely described the thunder while never study of it) but unfortunately I don't have one. By the way, if it necessary to qualified as a "good" IP attorney and patent agent, I will try to do it.

Would it possible  to study LL.M together with some technical degree in the US ? (it seems impossible in my current situation since I have a full time work at the law firm and I never seen the part-time technical degree before).

Maybe I should find my way for the unofficial technical study since the technical degree is not a requirement in Thailand(  but I've seen some giant law firm like Tilleke & Gibbins or Vidon and Partner recruiting the patent agent/attorney with a requirement of Science degree and law degree and yes there are my targets :().

And again I really appreciated your suggestion as the instruction of the elder which is very precious for me.

Best regards,
