i've gat a couple of names i came up with by myself, to start a clothing and footware line,
but i don't know how and where i should start from, alot of times people discouraged me from venturing into this personal project of mine, they said it involved alot of money e.t.c

but i'm thinking i can really do this if i've gat the right kinda people and friends around me. and i'm determined to give it a try, but i lack the "technical-know how" to start .

any body who's gat information, pls do send me some info.

By "names" do you mean names for your products or names of people to talk to?  If the former, you want to look into trademarks.  If you want the latter, you might try a forum aimed at entrepreneurs generally and not the specific topic of intellectual property.
