Can you tell me what the laws say regarding copyright of literary works which maybe captured by visual or sound recordings.
This is both before and after a work is completed.
For example:

1. Is it considered a breach of copyright of a literary work, if parts of it can be extracted by verbal recitation or CCTV footage during its completion. This maybe before the work was completed, and under construction.

2. How does the issue of timing come to play with copyright.
The owner of the footage containing a particular literary work has copyright over the footage itself. And so what sort of conflict is there between the owner of the footage (which may be copyrighted before the completed literary work) and the literary work.

3. How would the situation change if the footage containing the literary works was taken after completion. ie. it may infringe by displaying just parts of the completed works.

4. At what stage during construction does the literary work gain copyright against infringements. As you say, there is no need to place a copyright symbol on such writings.
Does the placing of a name, date etc... just provide more rigour if infringements are challenged.

5. What exemptions are there from copyrighted material ? ie. displaying 5% of the completed works and whole disclosures on the basis - public discussion, educational purposes.
Do you have a weblink of the exhaustive list of these exemptions?
How can such usage be challenged?

Thank you.
