I have a family recipe for an horderve that is unique.  Where would I go from here to tademark, patent, market, etc...

So much has been written in these forums about recipes that I'd start with a search of the archives.  That should give a good background.  Maybe you'll have more specific questions by then and there's a good chance you'll get some sort of response here.

I too have the same question as far as getting a copyright for a recipe. What  archives were you referring to when you mentioned searching there first?  How do I access them?

From the www.intelproplaw.com homepage, click on the 'Forums' tab (2nd one from the right), click on 'Search' which is underneath the banner advertisment, enter 'recipe' in the search box.

Now, there is one more thing to do before hitting 'search' on the bottom of screen or hitting the enter button on your keyboard.

Just above the search button, there are some boxes that specifies how far back to search. It defaults to 7 days. Change the 7 to some large number like 1000. Then hit the search button.

Just searching back 7 days won't produce many hits.
