Hi all,
I have an undergraduate degree in ME, went straight to medical school, and now will be finishing my internship in Internal Medicine in May/June.  Basically, I plan on/would like to leave medicine completely after finishing internship, the reasons are fairly simple in that I can not see myself as a career physician in any way (otherwise things have been going fine . . .).

I had some interest in patents and enjoyed engineering as an undergrad and worked in the patent field some my last year old college.  I think I would enjoy the job of an examiner, then maybe moving on from there.

I think after an ME undergrad, a medical degree, and then what? a law degree, employers would look at your resume and think "wow. this person certainly didn't know what they wanted to be when they grew up."
