Hi Everyone,

Do you know whether a patent applicant  is allowed to pay an annuity by himself or herself, not by his or her foreign attorney, when a patent is pending in countries, Brazil, EU, South Aferica, Singapore, Australia, and Columbia.

Thank you in adavance!

In the EU for patent applications pending at the European Patent Office anyone may pay the necessary fees. This will also be true for the most of the individual countries in Europe if a patent application or patent is pending there. However, there may be exceptions in that you will need a local agent in some countries to pay the fees.
I do not know the situation in the other countries that you mentioned.

Regards.
