Are website interfaces patentable?
« on: 04-18-11 at 12:56 pm »

is the way a website works and displays information patentable? For example, a way of calculating and displaying information in response to a user's inputs? This isn't the idea, but similar concept. A user selects a city he wants to go to, then selects things he wants to do, days he wants to spend there. The website calculates how much money he will spend for lodging, meals, airfare, and transportation. A similar input, output can be applied to many other ideas.

Thanks,

Yes, it's patentable so long as the way the web site works is novel and not obvious.
