What's more interesting, to me, are the ones I haven't heard of like:

#13 Hon Hai Precision (Taiwan) with 1438 patents;
#26 Denso (Japan) with 853 patents; and
#34 Silverbrook (Australia) with 752 patents.

BTW, Hon Hai is the parent corporation of the arguably better-known Foxconn.
