"The proposed Patent Reform Act of 2007, however, is so consistently and unmistakably biased in favor of large corporations that the purported motivation for the proposed change to a First-to-File system must be viewed with deep suspicion."

Is this sort of like the "pet rock"?

I guess so, . . . but, I created it to mark on art work, . .

like drawings or paintings, that may be used on the internet for advertisement

purposes.

It would cover a portion of the art work.

Don't get me wrong, JP, I think it's a nifty design idea, but I'm not sure what it would be useful for.  As a copyright marking, however, I am guessing that it wouldn't meet the requirements, but I may be incorrect;  unfortunately, I haven't had an opportunity to take a class on copyright.

The animated sailplane gif is quite cute, BTW.

Thank you, . .

What this is in actuality or in common use is if you were viewing a piece of art work on the internet, and it may be what is commonly used, many times referred to as, "Royalty Free", often called clip art, these are either photos or drawings, that another artist would want to complete for example a video or a web page design, . . . .

wanting this art work he would then search the internet sites specializing in that, and find the art work he would want, possibly a model wearing a raincoat or
a fire truck, etc. the offer of this art is accompanied by the image, however the image would be covered by another image which is often a transparent overlay, whereby you may still see all the attributes of the art work you are viewing and may want to purchase the right to use this.

The overlay might be an image such as what I have displayed, or it may be the company logo or artist's name, etc.

Take, er easy breezy !
