amendment to specification
« on: 12-20-10 at 07:39 am »

Hi there,

If there are some mistakes in a specification but the drawings are correct.   Can I amend the specification based on the drawings?  How far can I go with drawings?

Thank you,

You can amend things based on the drawings, but if the drawings and the specification conflict, the examiner might well insist on an explanation of why the drawings should be considered correct rather than the specification.  Things that are clearly mistakes should not be a problem to correct.
