Anyone know where I can find an exhaustive list of patent firms by state or region? Im looking more at the smaller firms than biglaw ones.

Find Law or Martindale might have a list of firms.

The USPTO maintains a list of practioners by state on its website.

If you're searching for a list of law firms specializing in an areas of IP as opposed to individual patent attorneys, the comprehensive source is martindale.  Martindale also has an advanced search engine that allows you to search firms based on the number of attorneys.  See http://www.martindale.com/Find-Lawyers-and-Law-Firms.aspx
