As I understand, a patent agent it's expected to do the following three kinds of tasks
  • patent searching
  • patent claim drafting
  • patent prosecution

I am wondering how much time does a patent agent spend on each kind of activity over the course of a month. In terms of business, how much business percentage does a typical law firm get from each kind of activity.
Thanks for any answers

I won't even attempt to answer those questions. Answer vary *widely* among firms, and even from year-to-year within a firm .

You left out the following tasks:
- making coffee (3 hours per week)
- picking up boss's lunch (4 hours)
- proof-reading (5 hours)
- figure drafting (5 hours)
- translating/verification of translations (20 hours)
- trying to justify why you haven't met your 35-hour patent searching/claim drafting/patent prosecution goal because of all the other stuff your boss made you do (1 hour)
