I live in Phoenix, AZ.

I've been offered two positions for my summer between 2L and 3L year and am having a tough time deciding which route to go (given that they lead to different environments):

Option 1:

Medium-Large General Practice Law Firm (highly respected in AZ)- IP/Patent Department, Starting salary $110,000 (on par for PHX market)

Option 2:

Well-Known Technology Company - In-House IP Legal Team, Starting salary UKNOWN (should I ask? is that appropriate here?)

-- note: im in the rare position to get an in-house position right out of law school because i worked for this company for two years in the past and developed strong relationships and busted my ass

I'm more than likely leaving out some necessary information, so please do not hesitate to ask for more info in order to provide input.

Thanks!

What is your long term career goal?

I started my career in-house and have only ventured away from the in-house life for a few months. I think your decision should be largely shaped by where you see yourself 10 or 20 years from now.
