Is an LL.M. usually just J.D.-level elective coursework like that?

Yes

Then it's even more of a waste than I thought...

By, the way, the LLM program can be almost exclusively patent related courses (need 20 class credits and 2-4 credit thesis), here's the curriculum:
Where is that, Franklin Pierce?  (The only IP-centric school that springs to mind.)

Sure, if you already have had the opportunity to to take these classes or obtained practical experience while in your 20s or 30s.  Not so sure if you are in  my position, which is of course my concern.

Initials make a great cartier gold tank watch  accessory forabsolutelyanyone. Many people prefer to wear initial jewellery as it is a more attention grabber as well as a great fashion accessory. The most important aspect of your personality is your name. Your "name" offer you identity in the society. People like to wear such kind of jewellery which symbolizes their "Name". Initial cartier rings  means first letter of your name.Initialcartier earrings  is dynamic attention grabbing jewellery - now an extension of who you are.

Can't tell you how helpful yoru reply has been.

I think he is telling you to skip the LLM and open a jewelry shop, although in this economy, I am not sure that is a very feasible idea.

Took BAR/BRI patent bar review and got my preliminary pass about an hour or so ago!

Starting IP LLM program next week & should be done with all coursework by Dec.; 80% of coursework on May 1.  Putting the house on the market in March.

Soon to be registered USPTO Attorney with EE with MBA cum laude from solid state law school in the midst of IP LLM program seeking Summer employment.  Looking to move to & work in Southern Cal, Rockies, upstate NY or New England.

Good luck,
If the naysayers prove correct, try for an experienced position in the USPTO.  Your education will count and the experience will help to get into a law firm later

Thanks,  I did figure that for my "if all else fails" route.  If the USPTO opens up a Rocky Mtn satellite office I am there!
