Hello everyone,

The procedure for a Chinese applicant to file a foreign patent application has been changed since the implementation of the new Patent Law of China, i.e. a Chinese applicant could file an application for patent abroad as long as requesting in advance the patent administration department under the State Council for confidentiality examination, instead of appointing a domestic patent agancy designated by said department, so a great opportunity for a US patent firm to develop the Chinese market occurs. In addition, the Chinese applicants who want to file foreign applications, especially US applications, are increasing significantly in recent years. I wonder who has an interest in the agency business from Chinese applicants. I am a patent agent, and not only experienced in patent prosecution and counselling but also experienced in client management and marketing. Tonysz, I'm not entirely sure what it is that you're offering, but I'm also not sure that it matters here.  Folks here tend to fall into 3 categories (incoming gross generalization warning).  They're either firm attorneys or in-house counsel (both of which already have invested relationships with patent agent firms in CN or HK), or they're individual inventors seeking "how to" information (who are unlikely to need patent assistance outside of the US, or likely at most, US and Europe).  Just my 2 cents.  Good luck.

DogDayPM, thank you very much for your reply. I intend to find a US patent firm to cooperate to develop the Chinese market. I know that many US firms have invested relationship with patent agency firms in CN or HK, but it is not the best manner now, because a Chinese applicant could directly appoint a US firm when he wants to file US applications after the implementation of the new Patent Law of China, so it will be more competitive for a US firm to found an office in China to develop the Chinese market. Can you give ma some advice such that I can find a cooperator?
