Is there terminology associated with the principle that implies exclusive rights to a "creation" is granted to the first person to register the "creation"?  What is the term?  How would I find something like that out?  Would "prima face evidence" work or is that too general?  Is that even considered a principle?

I think you need to go to a local law school and hire a law student as a clerk to do research for you using their free westlaw or lexis passwords. Or you should just start sitting in some law classes in the back of the room and see what you can find.
