career advice - HP
« on: 06-05-10 at 12:44 am »

I am thinking of working for HP as a patent attorney. Does anyone know what they are like to work for?
In terms of pay, work life balance, work environment, interesting work etc.

Alright no one else bit.

I have never worked with HP, but I do serve as outside counsel for one of HP's friendly competitors.  The in-house attorneys at that competitor seem to enjoy themselves.

I would like to point out that HP appears to be going through a transition towards more automated manufacturing processes.  While that is probably good news for patent attorneys, HP is also in the savings mode.

You might try asking at the city data forums.
