Getting Paid for Your Patent Research
« on: 05-17-10 at 01:02 pm »

We have started a new platform where anyone can participate in Patent Studies listed on our website and be financially rewarded for your efforts. The Website is www.articleonepartners.com
Information about how the platform works can be found here: http://www.articleonepartners.com/what_is_patent_study.php

What do people think about our platform? I would really appreciate any thoughts, opinions or questions.  Thanks.

The platform works fine.. the potential to win the cash prize for finding a piece of prior art, which article one can use against a patent, just seems low in view of the amount of work involved.

@Jonathon
Thank you for the reply.  We are constantly trying to ensure that our community of Researchers feel they receive fair value for their time and effort. While some of our studies are requests for previously unknown prior-art which can lead to invalidity, we also host studies which are merely request for a "state of the art" collection. These studies guarantee payment to the researcher(s) who submit the most relevant prior art. An example of a few of these studies are found here:
http://www.articleonepartners.com/study.php?id=396
http://www.articleonepartners.com/study.php?id=312
http://www.articleonepartners.com/study.php?id=313

Also, to reward our community of Researchers for their hard work even if they do not win a study, Article One offers profit sharing in the company for active participation in the Studies and on our website. The details of the profit sharing can be found here:
http://www.articleonepartners.com/profit_sharing.php

In 2009 Article One Partners paid out $25,000 of bonus money to our Researchers as part of this profit sharing initiative.

Hope to see you on the website! www.articleonepartners.com

How many partners split that?  What was the max payout to a single person for a single prior-art reference?

@MYK,
Thanks for the questions.
1. We paid out 2009 bonus money to hundreds of Advisors for their active participation in the Research Studies and on our website.
2. We have paid a $50,000 reward to a number of Advisors for their submission of a single prior-art reference. This is a news article that talks about one such Advisor:
