The business entity will be based in Europe and all of the customers will most probably be from Europe,
I guess the point is not so much as to obtain protection where you operate, but to obtain protection where is most likely that infringement will happen  ;D

Mmax introduced, but didn't elaborate on, an important point. The relevant "where" is where the invention is made, used or sold. [That language is from US law, but AFAIK the general concept is the same in other countries.]

If the claim is to a server computer running the inventive software, it's the country the server is located in.

If the claim is to a client computer running the inventive software, or interacting with the server, it's the  country the client is in.

If the claim is to a CD with the software on it, it's the country in which the CD is sold or used.

It's the answers to those questions that dictate which country you need a patent in.
