I don't know anything about phone interviews, both times I was interviewed in person then sent the OF-306 and PIV to fill out. Are phone interviews for people out of the area?
That's strange because I was interviewed just once on the phone and I live only 4 miles from PTO. I guess its not the same for everyone.

Is the PTO hiring again? Or was that just a wave of people who were hired in the spring and just started now?

Has anyone here for Biomed GS-7 position received a response from PTO? (other than NOR)
It's been almost a month from the early app. deadline and I don't know whether I should still wait for their call

It seems the decision to push the academy to August 30th was only decided today... thus that gives everyone more time right? I "think" there is not an August 16th academy, but don't hold me to that.
Good luck
Oh and I'm BME with 2 masters degrees (not engineering) and work experience.

I would avoid Huntington at all costs.
I've been living near the Huntington Metro, and it's worked out well for me. Cheap, quiet, and 30 min from door-to-door. Not much to do nearby, though.

First few years I was on Huntington too. If you drive it takes you 5 min to get to work (depending on the time you come in, because the parking garages are hell). Assuming you take the metro and live very close to the metro, than a 15-30 total commute can be expected.

Just got the call offer. People who sent in the transcript, of306, and hspd12 should be in. I'm BS in electrical engineering, law minor, and electrical engineering patent work experience, gs 7-10 with accelerated promotions twice every 6 months. I start August 30th, I think it was pushed back so they're probably not done processing applicants. I also applied before the early cut off date. Good luck everybody!
