Has anyone heard about the September training class that is being scheduled for those who are still waiting on an offer?
no, pls explain. all i heard was that there was a August 30 class and that's it for FY 2010. they may reopen hiring in September for FY 2011.
After calling around to check on my application, I finally reached the TC Director of the center I interviewed for. She told me on Monday that they were trying to accomadate more of applicants by opening another class in September because the "Cert" date had passed. She also said that a lot of applicants were pressed for time because of relocation distance and/or application completion.
I have not contacted anyone else to confirm this, but that is what I was told. If anyone can confirm this please post.
BTW, I am one of the ones who are still waiting even though I applied before the early cutoff date, interviewed and turned in my PIV and 306 two weeks ago.
EE or Bio?

Any idea what a "Cert" date is?

To all the non EE/CEs and Biomeds, job postings for patent examiners are up on USAJobs. Early cutoff of 7/27, but these are up all the way through next year with subsequent cutoffs each Friday. EEs and Biomeds don't have another posting yet, as I think they're saturated with apps for those. Good Luck!

I had an interview recently and the SPE said she would recommend HR to hire me. I have not yet received a request to submit an OF-306 and PIV form. My question is: are these requests sent via regular mail or through email? Thanks and good luck.

If there is a number to call for troubleshooting, then call.
Otherwise, you need to contact the HR.
Had trouble logging in myself, and if I remember correctly,
I think I called the HR and they had to reset the logging info.

I called the DOD help desk as the HR lady said she couldn't help me if I wasn't sure the answer to the golden answers - I have done this before for other jobs - anyhow the DOD help desk said I don't have an active e-qip which doesn't make sense so I was looking to see if anyone else had done theirs...

Does this mean that hiring will not begin until the announcement expires? Or, is it that they will hire throughout the announcement?

This goes back to how it was before the freeze. They hire throughout the announcement and they do it week by week, meaning every Friday they'll compile the names and give it to the hiring manager to pick from.

call HR to find out if they are offering any sept. class. they are usually good at answering these kind of questions.
