how do the PTO human resources compare
Well, on my first day on the job, HR had some of the paperwork (booklet, security papers, etc) but
somehow LOST my employment documents and informed me that they no longer had a position open for me (despite having my confirmation of employment letter and start date). Luckily, a non-HR supervisor was able to find another spot (surprising number of no-shows come the first day, along with rampant attrition) so it eventually worked out.
Maybe HR has improved after the switch to usajobs.com (vast improvement over the old JARS system), but I wouldn't count on it.
