According to the USPTO's website, applicants will be notified from April 8 to April 14 if they were referred to a hiring manager.  Then applicants will be notified from April 30 to May 7 if they were selected.  At the rate the USPTO is processing applicantions, 2 weeks does not seem like a reasonable time period to interview 250 potential new examiners.  Does anyone know if they will be interviewing people at all?  Or will they be selecting people based only their KSA responses?

Well, on my first day on the job, HR had some of the paperwork (booklet, security papers, etc) but somehow LOST my employment documents and informed me that they no longer had a position open for me (despite having my confirmation of employment letter and start date).  Luckily, a non-HR supervisor was able to find another spot (surprising number of no-shows come the first day, along with rampant attrition) so it eventually worked out.

Maybe HR has improved after the switch to usajobs.com (vast improvement over the old JARS system), but I wouldn't count on it.

Anybody hear anything today? HR said "all emails have been sent out" but also said "people who applied via mail/fax usually takes longer." I am doing USAJOBS next time around. Hopefully I'll get an email soon - b/c this is some bullshit.

This is ridiculous! I was initially thinking that no news is good news b/c other applicants posted that they heard back (negatively) last week. Now, I'm thinking no news = bad news! they still haven't updated any new dates, and APril 8 is tomorrow. I really wonder if applicants are supposed to hear back at all, regardless if they are going to move forward with your app.

You guys just don't listen (or read). Read my posts above. HR is very rarely on-time for anything.
