Author Topic: Need legal counsel for OED  (Read 417 times)

After passing the patent bar, the OED requested documents and then filed a Show Cause.  This means that I need to show cause as to why my application for membership should not be denied.  At this point, I think it is in my best interest to find legal counsel.

Does anyone know any lawyers that have any experience with this kind of thing?

Thanks

Bumping in hopes of answers from others (other than spam-bots).

I don't know this as a fact, but I doubt there's a whole lot of experience out there when it comes to the OED.

But it would seem at least similar enough in context to the defense of current attorneys facing a state bar's disciplinary committee.  So someone with that type of experience should be able to offer some guidance.

If you google the words state, bar, disciplinary, and defense + your city or state, you should find some hits.

Edited:  Might check these guys.  http://www.aprl.net/listings_state.htm  If you plug in your state, it lists names and has a code key by their names indicating the type of work they do.  One that's fairly close is code A, meaning that they represent applicants for admission who are having trouble getting through.
