Ignore what anon30 said.  Expungement does NOT abrogate the duty disclose, at least with respect to the PTO.  Some states, such as Texas, do have provisions for leaving off expunged violations from their bar app.

Also, do NOT give the published appealed PTO admittance decisions much credence.  First, those are a very small sample of the total number of decisions, and in fact seem to be the most bizarre.  More importantly, in admissions, much depends on whether your investigator is a jackass and wants to make your life difficult.  You can build the best case by being candid, appearing remorseful and more mature, and especially by having employers, friends, and teachers write letters to the effect that you have "matured."

All of coffee mug's above advice is very good, especially the bit about not giving a narrative.  However, you cannot "legally answer no," as a wrong 'no' answer violates 18 USC 1001, punishable by jail time.  Doubt that anyone has ever gone to jail for answering 'no' on a PTO application to practice, but let's not find out the hard way.

To the person who started this thread, given the amount of time that has passed, you'll be fine, although I don't think the PTO will appreciate the copyright infringement/file sharing incident, so be prepared to get your file flagged.
