I want to protect the use of a name.  This name will be used as a label and also as part of a business name.  Do I copyright, patent or trademark this name?

To the extent that you will be using the name to identify yourself in the minds of consumers (that is, to identify you as the source of the goods or services you will be providing), trademark protection may be applicable for the name.

Patent and copyright protection are inapplicable here.
