Sounds interesting.

Two questions out of curiosity:

Are Chinese clients paying comparable fees as US clients for a US national phase patent prosecution?

Do they hire US-based US patent attorneys or China-based US patent attorneys?

I have a buddy and former coworker who took a job with a US patent law firm in Alexandria about 9 months ago.  Last I talked to him, he said about 50% of his time is translating (he does not translate personally) and filing Chinese patent applications.

This is a good example.
BTW, what is the firm's name?
Can you introduce me to your buddy?
So, We can find some opportunities for cooperation.

I am very glad to hear this, since I am from China.
I worked for a patent law firm in the D.C. area for several years.  Most of the clients of this firm are Japanese companies.  The firm could not get any Chinese clients because its fees are too expensive.  From your experience, is it true that a U.S. firm has to significantly lower its fees in order to get clients from China?
Thanks.
