Hello,

I have a question. I was thinking about making an online music player that would allow users to upload all they music from computer (sync) on the server into their secured folder that only they could access (each person could access only own music). The best presentation of what I am trying to do is web version of iTunes that people could access via their accounts and upload their music there. It would be against TOS to share access to accounts.

Would that be against any low and break any copyright? Once again, the music would be playable only to the account owner. Also, would I be allowed to charge for such service (if I create own company name and develop own software for this).

This would be in the gray area of copyright law, arguments on both sides could be made convincingly.

However, with HD storage becoming smaller and smaller, why would anyone want such a service? Why not just have the music on your hard drive and listen to the on that? An Ipod can carry more info than any one person would ever need.
