Jeff's point is a valid one. Over-simplified but authoritative sounding advice is particularly dangerous in a forum such as this.
And your argument that his position is based on attorney greed is way off base. Note that Jeff not only donates time to moderating this forum, but is quick to give informed, helpful, and free direction to anyone posting when he can ethically do so (including avoiding dangerous over-simplification). Jeff may or may not get much business through listing his contact information with his posts, but I doubt that what business comes back through his work on the forum is the mainstay of his practice.
You do a disservice to Jeff and to the many legal professionals who contribute here online without any hope of remuneration or expectation of any reward.
