Would you mind sharing your view of practitioners' competence, too?

There are many fine examiners.  I have dealt and presently deal with many.  I have also dealt with examiners with whom I was unable to have meaningful discourse.  My hope is that the PTO is able to attract more examiners of the former type and not that latter.
