Trademark or Copyright
« on: 06-28-09 at 05:50 pm »

I have a slogan or phrase I think is catchy.  It contains two very small sentences.  Should I get it Copyright or Trademark?

Also, I understand the application for trademark is about $325.  Are there more costs down the line?  How expensive can this process get?

Thanks in advance,

Dee

Dee, you can't "get" a trademark on a phrase unless you are using the phrase as a trademark.  How are you currently using the phrase?

Copyright does not protect short phrases.
