Can I have your views on Kant and Utilitarian philosophy please.

And what are your ethical arguments for and/or against the above behaviours?

Thanks for any replies.

Am I missing something?  I don't see any "above behaviors".

Regards.

Sorry Jim, my mistake!  :-[

I copied and pasted that part from something else I was doing.  ::)

I just wanted peoples views on the Kant and Utilitarian Philosophy. I have read a few websites about them and wanted to see if other peoples interpretation of them were the same as mine.

I see.  Maybe a "miscellaneous" topic rather than copyright?

Somewhere in these forums I went on and on about Rawlsian ethical philosophy and why I'm a Rawlsian (or at least applying Rawlsian philosophy to the unauthorized copying of software).  I forget Kant.  Well, I remember him, but I forget the essence of his philosophy.  Is he deontological?

I had the privilege of studying under Sanford Kadish in law school -- not infrequently quoted alongside Kant in philosophy texts.  Wow.  I was really impressed when I stumbled upon some of that.

Regards.
