Reduction to practice
« on: 01-09-09 at 11:44 pm »

I have an invention and have created a solidly working prototype of the invention. Is this considered reduction to practice, or does reduction to practice mean having to market and sell the product to the public?

morethanwhat,

please consider filing a patent application before you embark on any of your stated activities of marketing and selling you invention. Or talk to a practitioner if you have already. Certain actions, events are seen as dates which may bar you from filing a patent for the matter, if one is not filed with a certain time frame.
