: hi,

: i have an idea for a bathroom fixture.. i think that the first thing i need to do is to patain my idea, but i an not sure if that is the right thing to do and if so where to go to do so? please advice.. thanking you in advance for your time.

Dear Mr. Nanavati,

You need the whole picture. The fixture may not be patentable. A patent on the fixture may not give you the protection that you need. Patents are expensive.

Just getting a patent or a patent application is a way of spending a lot of money.

A Reality Check (sm) would be a big help.
