If you and don't have a confidiality agreement there is a greater chance of trouble. Most companies won't agree.

There are many companies that suggest they can help but usually charge or induce you to file patent application.

There is a $100M+ a year scam preying on inventors. One in ten thousand make more than they pay.

You have to find a Patent Lawyer you can trust.
