: : Is a servicemark and trademark the same? If a company has a registered servicemark but is no longer an active company, can someone apply for a trademark under the same name?

Ok, another question on the same. I did receive a reply from the USPTO and has me thinking.

IF the service mark is for services, and a trademark is for goods from a manufacturer or seller; can a trademark be established under the same name for a website, or is it too much a grey area?

Thanks
