Slight name variation

What is the precedence to a slight name change, making it plural and with different spelling? The product is completely different as well. For exapmle, the trademark in question is (product)connect, and I am wondering about (product)connex. We have the domain name for this as well, and like I said, the product isn't related to the currently trademarked one. Thanks in advance.
