Dear David,

The answer is yes, you can pursue. But it isn't quite as simple as that and an answer can't fit into a paragraph or two here.

We recommend doing a domain name search before selecting a trademark, if you are starting out.
There are anticybersquating laws. It is usually easier to start clean.
