I am currently designing a stock-trading board game which I intend to be based on real companies. As of the current design, there are references to over 50 companies. Most refernces are of the format: Company X produces $3 per turn. Can I use corporate names and logos without getting permission from the trademark owners?
Also, the game centers around 3 major companies which are controled by players. The players actions can be friendly or ruthless, so depending on who plays, the companies may be shown in a less than favorable light. Will this create additional problems.?
