trademark in URL[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Trademark Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Mike George on December 10, 2003 at 00:12:55: I own a URL that a company claims is their trademark. Here is an example: I own time-magazine.com which is an online e-zine for current international news. In no way do I insinuate that I am associated with TIME magazine. The lawyers at TIME magazine claim that the words "TIME Magazine" are trademarked and that I am not allowed to use the URL to direct traffic to a similar site. If I bought the URL legally and I manage an "original" content online e-zine, can they sue me? Any info would be appreciated. Mike
