: Is it a copyright violation to use the words "inspired by"? What if a webpage for an album used the following....

: "The album inspired by Steve Jones' book Big Tomato"

: If anyone can point me to actual code or case law that specificially deals with use of the words "inspired by" it would be greatly appreciated.

: Cyndi

Dear Cyndi,
Without taking professional responsibility, I don't think you would be is trouble but it might be adviseable to look into the holistic situation such as consideration of the law of unfair competition.
