They want to track how the URL left the control of their entity and wound up with someone else. They have the trademark to the URL but they don't have it any longer. Dear Mr. Coleman, I don't know how to trace it. It probably expired and then was available. If the URL is sufficiently important, some protection may be obtainable by proper use of trademark or service mark registration, that dominate the use of the URl. M.
