Intelluctual Property Question[ Follow Ups ] [ Post Followup ] [ Trademark Forum ] [ FAQ ] Posted by Tom on October 15, 1999 at 10:14:16: Hello.. I'd appreciate if responses are emailed to me...or I may not see them. Q: If I accept a job working for a company as a software developer, is it assumed that they now have rights to any ideas, programs I develop on my own while employed with them? Or is that only the case if I sign something agreeing to that? And if that is the case, do most software development companies in US do that? i.e. If I have an idea unrelated to anything I am doing at work....can I market it on my own? Thanks
