: : How do I go about trademarking a phrase that relates directly to my business? Does it cost a lot of money? What if another company already onws the trademark for that particular phrase or something similar?

Dear Mr. Jackson,
A trademark does not cost much, despite the USPTO filing fee of $325 and a legal fee. Trademarks are forever if properly taken care of and renewed every ten years. Divided the cost and other small fees along the way and see how much you get for so little. Coca Cola is about 120 years old.

With good advice you can stay out of trouble.
