: Greetings,
: I had read the earlier postings regarding copyrights and trademarks on using a celebrity name in lyrics. How does one go about obtaining legal permission to use it in a song if by way of privacy this information is unavailable to the general public?

Dear Shiela Smith,

If in doubt direct solicitation, might work. There are usually not pat solutions. If the law was a matter of absolute clarity, there would be no lawyers.
