Do I now own the rights to this custom php and sql scripting, or can the developer now offer this scripting solution to my competitors? Dear Jeff, I told you when you called. You need the agreement carefully written and signed before the before you get the work done. Early legal advice is not expensive. The agreement has to be right for you. From what you say it may not be right but it may not be too late to try to change. M. Arthur Auslander Auslander & Thomas-Intellectual Property Law Since 1909
