Like other forms of property, trademarks can be transferred or assigned. If you can get the registrant to agree, you need only sign a simple (yet thorough agreement) to acquire the marks and associated goodwill.

However, if the marks are no longer in use, you could attempt to cancel the registration on the grounds of abandonment.

Either way, this can be done by experienced trademark counsel.
