: : I am trying to find out how to at least get a paten pending for a machine i designed and made. i need to at least get a paten pending or some form of protection. If life were as simple as just getting a patent and making money, there would be no need for lawyers, let alone a patent system. Patents even rotten patents are expensive. It is really important to have professional advice once the first idea arrives. It saves time money and worry. Recently a very telented inventor came of with a very sohisticated system that he had never seen. A patent search showed a crowded art. The answer was that the industry did not accept the invention no matter how good it was. A patent search is advisable asap. M. Arthur Auslander
