: : : How do I go about obtaining a paten for an idea and how do I go about getting companies to help me take my idea from thought to an actual product? Ideas are not patentable. There is a 100M a year scam where companies charge for promotion. The last I heard 5 in 10000 have made more than they have paid. I can show you how to promote without having to pay any company for doing it. Patents are expensive, even if you use a legitimate Patent lawyer. I start with a Reality Check to go over the chances of making money with or without a patent. I won't even recommend a patent application where I feel certain that I can get a patent if it does not look as if you have a chance of making money. ou get a credit against a patent search if one seems appropriate.
